Glade with Ron Haselden

Glade is to be located at the entrance to the Belvedere development at the junction of Hills Road and Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge. The work has a strong and visible presence at the junction with Hills Road continuing into the centre of the site creating a focus within the overall development. The proposed materials are recycled glass fragments cast in various types of resin in the form of a stepped curvilinear pyramid. It requires no special maintenance or has any technical requirements; The installation will be formed in poured in situ, and precast resin bound recycled glass fragments made into 1m x 1m panels. The materials proposed are permanent, and their installation requires only normal building and landscaping methods for its realization.
